A few questions about my verizon razr

Ok I have some questions that have been bugging me.

First i'm not sure what v3 my razr is. I think it's a v3c but i'm not positive how would I find out?

On my razr there are 3 instant messenger programs. I do not have web access but I can still sign onto these programs. If i'm on them do I get charged for just being on or do I only get charged if I recieve im's from them?

Will this mod: http://www.modmymoto.com/guides/cdma/lcd.php work on my phone? I know this has to do with the version of the phone but if it's a v3c from verizon will that mod work?

I ordered a 1GB Sandisk MicroSD TransFlash Memory Card which is what the verizon ppl said would work with my phone. Will this work if my phone is a v3c and do I need anything else to put stuff on it? I am also ordering a usb cable for my phone so that's already taken care of.

And lastly, I have not yet bought the text messeging from verizon yet I can still send and recieve text msg's. A friend told me that they only use up your minutes if you didn't order the messeging but i'm not so sure. Will I get charged cash or minutes for doing this?

i will start at the bottom. no it doesnt take away from your min. you get charged .10c for each sent text and i believe .02 for each received. not sure about there prepay though. unlimited text is only 10 bucks, worth it if you text a lot.
the mem card should work. i havent seen a vzn razr that didnt have the mem card slot. but there could be some earlier ones out there that are without.
yes you can do that mod to your razr just follow the instructions to the letter.
the messengers that are on there act just like normal text, you will get charged for them.
as far as the model, look on your box if you still have it. it will be listed on the white sticker on the side. it will be the top letters above the bar codes.

If it's a V3c, the mem card won't work because there's no slot for it, only the V3m, k1m and L7c have it

Ok , if i have verizon razr how do i know what i have ? a guy fixed it to work with surewest but mm card does work for pix&flixs . IM new but been reading here and think on the back under my battery it says model v3c. so im i looking in the wrong spot. thanks a lot

if there is a memory card slot in it, then it's a V3m, otherwise, it's a V3c...

The two phones are almost identical except for that memory card slot, so there's lots of info out there for the V3c that'll work with your V3m ;)
