How to change Operator logo into your name.
It is the same procedure as with the V3
1.) copy the "plmn_text_table.bin" file from a/ to your PC.
2.) start OpEdit (http://www.rasputin007.co.uk/storage/others/OpEdit.rar) and open the "plmn_text_table.bin" file.
3.) select your operator/s and double click on them
4.) now you can enter your name or what ever you want
5.) save the file and copy back into a/
6.) Reboot and enjoy

Rasputin, this doesn't work for me. I've tried it with different versions of OpEdit and made sure that I was definitely changing the correct operator. However, the operator names ARE changing in my network setup menu, but not on the main display. Am I missing something here?

Have you made sure all these seem edits are done:
SEEM 0032_0001
Offset 4B, bit 6 must be set to "0"
Offset 02, bit 1 must be set to "0"
Offset 40, bit 4 must be set to "0"
I can confirm this works on the Maxx with T-Mobile USA.

P2k Commander 4.9.3. In the drive select drop down menu, select seem edits, then put in offset 0032 and record 0001. You can then choose where to download the seem. Open the downloaded seem in XVI32 and do the edits, then save, and use P2k Commander to reupload.

Ok, thanks man. That did the trick. But I ended up using 10's Seem Changer 'cause I couldn't get my head around XVI32!!

Thank you poetic_folly, after editing Offset 02, this now works for me, I can finally get rid of T-Mobile from my display, it has removed the time as well for some reason, but I didnt want that there anyways, so even better.
Thank you.

when setting bit 1 of offset 02 to 0, it conflicts with getting the voicemail working which requires setting bits 1 and 4 to 1 in that same offset. Seems you can either have working voicemail or modded operator text.
Any way around this?
i have problem with this, in opedit i havent any operator names, why?

I want to change my operator name, I have o2 and want to change to something else, but I DONT HAVE ANY "a/" folder or any "plmn_text_table.bin" file.
When I plug in my mobile (RAZR V3i m) in to the computer, in "My Computer" it appears as F:\ and inside are folders: "itunes" and "mobile". What I suppose to do, to make this working? I have all these programs for changing operator logos, names "OpEdit", "Pktools", but none of them wont working, they're couldn't see my mobile, only "Motorola Phone Tools" working correctly, but with this I can't change operator name/logo I guess?
Any help will be appreciated
I've created a thread in Razr v3 forum, so this reply can be deleted (sorry for mess) http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1357721#post1357721

^^Use P2KCommander to access the phone's file system. Your computer could only see your memory card, not the system files which are inside your phone's memory.
