Changing Startup GIF...

Can this be done?

Using P2K Commander, I've looked through all the directories and am unable to locate this file.

Any help will be appreciated.

Bit of a pain this one, cos the .gif you're after is actually in the root directory of the phone which doesn't show up usually under p2k Commander. There is another way of browsing your phone's filesystem using Mexplorer and this can be patched so's you can both read and write to the root. Some clever bloke over at motomodders.us worked out how to patch Mexplorer so check out Linky (http://www.motomodding.us/viewtopic.php?t=3039)

I stumbled across that thread earlier, but didn't realize that m-explorer would reveal directories that P2K Commander couldn't. I assumed the patch was just to get m-explorer to work with V3re.

I'm gonna give m-explorer a go later.

Got m-explorer working, however no startup gif located in the root directory.

Found this (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?p=499989)thread. Seems like alot work, but that animation is begging to be replaced.

I hope it works for me.
