Gentlemen,

Have a question, On a V3T (R3443U5) I just received I want to make a backup.

On a V3R (3443U2) I had to apply a "patch", so F&B 3 would work properly.

My question is this:

1: Trans-flash card in OR out?
2: Does any patch have to be applied as there is NO V3t showing as a phone in the drop down box. The V3R selection that was "patched" appears as V3R with My Favs..

Do I select that? Or is there a update somewhere for the R3443U5 V3t's as sold by T-Mobile USA?

Please re-read the orginal post again.

I was asking for verification on USING FLASH & BACKUP 3 PROPERLY.

I was asking IF there is a PATCH that needs to be applied, and if not what phone needs to be selected.
The phone choices in the pull down are:
V3i
V3R (I would assume this is the Cingular one)
V3R with MyFavs (This appears after appliying the patch that was going around about a month ago)

There is NO V3T in the pull down box. I would "assume" that the one to select would be the modified /patched V3R.... but as you know that phone is differant from the V3t in several respects.

I was not asking IF there was a trans-flash/micro Sd card or whatever you want to call it.

The V3T as sold by T-Mo USA indeed does have a trans-flash slot (V3R not having one)

well if your needing a patch ask kirk considering he's the one that made the patch for V3r.. if not wait until random makes a new update...

the V3i is actually a V3i. if there is an available Stock OEM MP for this phone and not a full backup, i will help on making profile and loader for this one. so for now, you can use V3i profile for it, but it is not approved by me if it really works.

The V3r is also basically a V3i but it still seams to have it's own profile. Let me know if you find any info WANA, would like to know myself.

V3i is really a V3i - :crazy1: Typo....

V3T is really a V3i (without itunes)

So what you're saying is until a profile and loader is made use the V3i for now, but it is not confirmed that the backups made will work.

If that is the case, how long do you think it will be until a proper profile +loader will take to make?

PS: How would one know, without flashing the backup back to the phone if the backup was not corrupt in some way?

When you say V3R, keep in mind Cingular sells a V3R that is far closer to the V3i, than the T-Mobile V3R is.

Thanks for the heads up. The last version failed when flashing my V3t (had to use RSD Lite).

I'm not even sure why I would want to do it, but any idea if removing RSA is safe?
Strike that question. Apparently this refers to removing the RSA from the file not the phone.
