I've been messing with framerates and resolutions for a week now, trying to get videos in mpeg4 to play on my cingular V3xx. I finally got it to work with 176x144 and 15fps, but now about 10 secs into the video the video stops and says, "Not Enough Memory For Operation." The video I'm trying to play is an episode of Family Guy, and encoded with the above resolution and framerate it's 42.2 mb. I have this stored on my microSD in the mobile\video folder. If this file is too big then what is the maximum size I can put on there, and what would be the best way to go about making these videos smaller? Should I change the bitrate, or just cut them into clips? Thanks for any help.

I had that same problem with putting Disney's CARS on my V3xx. I had Shrek on my SLVR L7 and it played just fine, but my V3xx won't play anything that long. It just says that it doesn't have enough memory. I don't know what the deal is.

i just posted this video related on another forum, i have a 1gb sd card, i am using xilisoft to convert the videos & about 3 out of 10 videos won't play ang will show the same ""not enough memory message"" the video is only 4:11 mins, plenty of memory left on card & 53MB free on phone, i called motorola with no luck.
Has anyone experienced this type of problem????

Odd. I have a movie and a couple of episodes of South Park on mine. They work great. I wonder if it's a memory card issue. Have you tried to run the video from the phone's memory?

no, but i doub it. Cuz i just tried my sd card with my friends samsung phone and also another friend's v3i and the same videos played with no problem i think am just gonna return this thing like the motorola people said, but my only concern is that i also tried my wifes phone wich we got the same day, same store, and it did the exact same thing as mine when i put the card in it:banghead:

You should not have any problems, it may be the bit rate. Use the table in the link for reference.

I just use SUPER and let it go! Smokin Aces looks great!
