R3443U5 D&G on V3t - Lost icon problem

I flashed the following to an original T-Mobile V3t and all seems well except the AIM (or IM) icon is missing from the grid.
V3T R3443U5_G_0E.C8.0CR Dolce & Gabbana (T-Mobile USA)

The place is still there and starting up the program works. AIM connects fine, but another oddity is when the buddy list is displayed, there is a red circle with slash displayed to the left of each buddy. That leads me to believe that some of the icons could be missing.

Since that firmware came from a stock V3t and I flashed it to a V3t, shouldn't all the icons be in place? It came with V3T R3443U5_G_0E.C8.0CR and I have tried a few custom firmwares in between. I used RSD Lite, should I have master reset/clear at some point?

Any recommendations?

Sounds like you need to edit the mma, maybe use ski man? to patch the skin?

That MP was pulled off a brand-new unit from what I read... maybe a bug in the backup program... who knows...

You can try a Master Reset.. may fix it..

Post back your results, what you end up doing to get everything working , and then I will edit the orginal posting in the below link with the updated info...

You are also free once you fix the package to make a full backup, upload it somewhere and we'll get a link added in the below thread containing what packages that are now listed.

I'll try the reset/ clear first. The phone is at school with my daughter. As far as the mma goes, I heard it was a bit different than the V3i (which I am somewhat familiar with). I'll check out Ski man, but something is funky with those icons in the AIM buddy list. I believe that DG firmware has its own special DRM and that could be messing with it, but one would think it would be clean with AIM. I'd like to stop by a store and check out the firmware on a live phone but its hard to find a store that messes with the DG version. :vomit:

On the mma, the menu with I'm assuming it's got(1) clear icon.. 8 icons are showing instead of 9.

On a custom MP for a V3R (3443U2) one of the icons was missing... and would not display 12 icons..

It might be a case that 10 items are showing in the mma... if so that may explain why it's only showing 8 items... one being "clear", app working just icon not displaying.

PS: Once you get the mma correct mma_ucp, overwrite the mma_dcp with a copy of it, renamed the ucp to dcp + set the file attributes correctly so on a Master reset it doesn't revert back to the menu with the 9th icon not displaying correctly.

Ok. Figured it out. I flashed the DG Flex over a modded firmware, not the original V3t firmware. Flashing the original firmware then the DG flex fixed it. I has someone else's DRM, etc.
