This is an edit of the iPhone_by_vimm skin (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=3323)which I have ported to Maxx. It has a completely new M3 themed outer screen, the yellow date and time font color on the outside, and a black menu background. I have also added the M3 background image by jacknmary. Enjoy.

Works very nicely with the Cingular V3xx Gold I just got, except for 2 things. The first thing I noted was the link colors in the menus were set to black (not good on a black background, but I fixed that to my liking). The only part I miss now is the date and time on the outer display.

Any chance of someone resizing the graphics for use on the V3xx outer display and updating the .ski accordingly?

Sure, just use the _cli.dat and _cli.ski from the original iPhone skin by vimm, which was created for the V3x. I've attached them to this post. That happens because the V3xx has a smaller external screen than the Maxx.

hmmm... maybe its because im new to this whole skinning thing, or motos in general - or maybe just because im retarded - but i can't seem to get this skin to work correctly on my ATT V3xx. The skin itself works fine, and looks amazing. However the top icons (signal, batt, etc) are still the same default ones and i also cant get the 12 icon menu. I wasnt getting the ext. screen text but i replaced the _cli.dat and _cli.ski files and that worked like a charm. Am i doing something wrong here? or is the ATT V3xx incompatible? Thanks.:confused:

check out posts 16 and 17 in this thread about the cli. and the upper icons you talk about, are not in the skin, you need to flash a drm :)

yeah that drm is also made for V3xx, but to be honest i don't know anything about V3xx... maybe you better ask in the V3xx forums about that :)

The skin is really awesome! This is my first ever skin that I installed in my Maxx V6 (S/W: R26117LD-AS_U98.30.80R). But I have some issues... I used Skiman 0.51 to install it. Just newbie into modding and skinning.

The following are still in their default icons: Top icons (signal, battery, etc.), Google, Aeroplane mode, USB Settings, MOTOSYNC, World clock, Voice Message. Are these not included in the iPhoneMaxx by PF? And also I cannot install the .cli.skin file (for the external skin right?).

Do I need to use other tools to install it properly? Thanks for any clarification and assistance! :confused::confused::confused:

The top signal icons are in the DRM. Not in the Skin. You can change this by flashing a DRM. You can find these in the downloads section. Look for the right version (LD) according to your phone.

Those other icons such as airplane mode does not come in the skin. They're also in the DRM. Most of the times these are not used or modified.
