Need seem, offset and bit for making phone look to SIM for network

Hi folks,
I have T-Mobile service and my phone only says Cingular on the screen and Cingular is the only option in my Networks. I'd like to edit the seem so that the phone looks to the SIM for the network. Does someone have the seem, offset and bit for that?

There is a TMobile flash for the R4517 phones {which yours is if its Cingular branded** in the downloads section. Use that, although you can't go back to Cingular from there.

My phone isn't a Cingular phone, it's an unbranded one (R4513) but here in California, T-Mobile uses Cingular towers. Because my phone is currently set to look to the cell tower instead of the SIM, the screen says Cingular and my Network choices are all Cingular. I'd like for it to be T-Mobile.

Unfortunately, offset 02, bit 1 didn't work. It just brought back the little telephone symbol with the 1 next to it.

I'm using P2KTools and XVI32 just as shown in the Seem Edit guide that Poetic_Folly wrote (and is listed under the Guides on this site). I know I'm doing things properly because I've successfully edited a half dozen changes already that all worked fine.

I use p2k AE to do these edits... And I have been able to do the mod successfully. And I know that because my phone shows art2d2tx on the screen instead of Cingular...

I like it because it has a 'search' feature that many times makes things easier. that's how i learned about seems.

There's another program called Motorola Vxxx Mod Tool by xoclipse that's supposed to be really good but I can't find it anywhere. I heard about it over on motox.info

I found it. I was looking for a seem edit that dealt with the network or SIM. It turns out that was wrong. It's called Alpha Tag Display and it's in seem 0032_0001, offset 4B, bit 6. Set 1 for reading from SIM or 0 to read from phone. So I went in an edited that seem and now my phone says T-Mobile. :up: :biggerGrin:
