While connected to the computer, does the USB cable provide enough voltage to charge the V3t battery? I was not sure of it did some searching , but no keyword matches what I looked for. Would like to use this method as a temp charging station until we get a new charging cable. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Yes, indeed, the USB cable DOES charge the battery, but at a MUCH slower rate than a wall charger does. It's meant mainly to power the phone while connected to the PC, not for everyday charging, but it CAN be used for that in a pinch.

.

USB charge through the cable=YES (as noted above)

One thing to consider when doing so:

You need to ADD up the power requirements of all devices connected to the USB port (or Ports) and make sure the draw is below the rating of the port(s).

(Translation: Be careful on Laptops on current draw off the port.)

Best to use a POWERED HUB, instead of one that pulls power off the port directly to be on the safe side "if" you have other devices on the USB bus.

FY: Standard V3T R3443U5 wall charger outputs at 5vDC @ 550ma.

Good point... since I hae NEVER simply relied on the USB ports on the PC, or a non-powered hub, I tend to forget about using a powered hub (since that's all I EVER use)! My bad!
