Hello, this is one of my first post, so please bare with me. I used P2KTool to do the whole thing. My USB settings on my phone are set to Data Connection.

To remove the operator(AT&T) service name and put your own you need to open the 0032_001 SEEM. Make sure you back that up in case something goes wrong!

The two edits I change were:
offset 51 / bit-3 - Check it off
offset 02 / bit-1 - Check it off

After saving that to my phone, I had to open the plmn_text_table.bin with opedit. Make sure you make a backup of this file!

I went thru and changed all the North America Location(the colors are Green, peach, and Yellow) operator's name to the same custom name.

After that, I put the file back onto my phone with P2kTool, and it worked.

Sorry that isn't much, but I thought I might as well post it.

I did not think opedit would work with .bin files. Is there another program you used or a setting on opedit I dont know about?

I dunno. It Worked for me. The Operator name Changed from AT&T to "Josh" for me, but only in some areas. When I went to six flags, it changed to "Cellular One" and "Cingular" on and off, and sometimes back to "Josh". I am unsure about any other ways to do this.

Side Note:
HeHe... Do NOT delete AT&T Nav. from the main menu. It really messes up your phone.... lol. Like, it will not let your phone be turned back on! Just thought I would tell you that is is a BAD IDEA unless you want a bricked phone!
