Hey all,
I'm having a heck of a time getting my RAZR V3m set up and working with my XP machine. (First let me state that I have a pretty good idea of how to do computer-related tasks; I do in-depth hardware repair and Windows 2K and XP installs all day, so no need to dumb it down much). That said, when I follow the guide linked below, Step 9 throws me:
http://www.modmymoto.com/guides/cdma/getconnected.php
After successfully installing the Motorola USB Modem drivers (from the P2K driver kit v2.9), Windows' "Found New Hardware Wizard" pops up again and again, requesting even more drivers for three new discovered bits of hardware: "Motorola MCU Data Logger", "Motorola Accessory", and "Motorola Test Command". I point the Wizard at the location where the Motorola USB Modem drivers also were, and it claims that there's nothing else useful in that directory -- the drivers in there are only for the USB Modem device.
I've searched far and wide, trying all kinds of driver packs, Phone Tools versions, and dozens of files -- and none of them seem to have the drivers for these three devices. I've also swapped my USB A to Mini B cable among the USB ports on my machine, as I'd seen posted in other forums, all with no luck and still three unknown devices.
Am I doing something wrong? All I'm attempting to do is browse the filesystem on the phone and replace a few GIFs (perhaps with P2KCommander, as it looks quite straightforward, once drivers for all the hardware are installed). Any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated!
