View Full Version : Downgrading Bootloader to 07.D0 and Unlocking

So Cash and I were discussing the easiest way on how to downgrade the bootloader and then unlock the razr. This is what I have so far... I downloaded Motorola Unlocker 2005, Flashbackup 2.62, and bl 826-828 to 07d0 for V3 . As far as making a backup I open flashbackup, Select PDS Backup from the Backup mode, Check Disable backup compression and support of compressed backups and that's as far as we got... Do I then create the backup and save it as V3 Backup? I would think that after I create the backup, I open RSD Lite, Flash the bl 826-828 to 07d0 for V3 file, and then unlock it using the Motorola Unlocker 2005? Or what exactly should I do from selecting the pds backup from the backup mode dropdown menu? Any help is greatly appreciated!

you downgraded to 07.d0? then just open moto unlocker (idk if the program you speak of is the one im talking about, so to be sure this is the program i used: http://www.themotoguide.com/unlocking.php)
then just follow the guide and the program. its like 3 clicks, the hardest part i think was the downgrading part, b/c i was going on other people's word since i know nothing about the razr

he is asking about how to backup the pds in case something goes wrong, i will answer later today when i have time or one of you guys can . . . .
I followed the steps on www.themotoguide.com and it worked. BUT, when I downgraded with RSD on another phone, the unlocking process didnt work right.

course there is always the p2k easy tool unlock method which works every time, you just have to hunt down the warez

Are we still consider p2k easy tool is a warez?? even though the company went belly up and leave its customers high and dry with no support what so ever?? USB smart is no longer in bussiness!!!

Hmm. Good question. I'll have to check the laws on that. I am pretty sure if the company no longer exists than its ok to post the software. But thats just opinion right now, lemme look into it today... by the way, glad to have you here hagan.

Arsenic_Ice, you also need to select the 08A0.ldr from the RamDld pack in your FlashBackup program folder.

Copyright is a tangible asset and exists regardless of whether the company is still trading.
Someone more knowledgeable than me said:
The company is out of business, but this doesn't mean they've lost the copyrights.
When I get this correct, the guy "zulea" programed it, it seems he did it alone.
So the copyright would be his and it is said his life + 50 years - than the copyright ends.

I am trying to unlock a T-mo v3 r374. I downgraded the bootloader ok and ran the unlocker. It sais it was completed but still asked for subsidy when I used a cingy sim. anyone?

It sounds like it's not unlocked. Motounlocker can report success but actually leave the phone locked. The most successful way I know of to unlock a V3 is with P2K Easy Tool v.3.7 but it's Warez so don't ask for a link. Google is your friend.

if you downgrade your bootloader from 8.26 to 7.D0 and unlock it, can you load 8.26 back up? And would you want to?
cash7c3
11-01-2006, 01:03 PM
yes you can, I can not think of a reason you would want to though
walt turner

So the only benefit of downgrade/unlock is so you can change carriers?
Sandroc
11-01-2006, 01:22 PM
The benefit to downgrading is that you can also restore your backups from FB. The benefit from unlocking, is yes you can then use any sim from any provider.
