Do you have any backups?
Have you tried running RSD and holding the * and # while putting the battery back in? if it just sees unrecognizable usb device, try the thing i said above but before releasing the *and # unplug the usb cord and plug it back in...I had that work for me eariler.

i was looking at the moto q
poetic_folly
10-13-2006, 09:45 PM
Moto Q runs Windows Mobile, so none of this stuff works for it. If you want a nice phone, buy the KRZR or the RAZR MAXX.

i was messing with p2k easy tool and i did something that i have no IDEA, but i CAN turn it on in bootloader mode.... although it just says my battery is low, and it cant program, so i'm charging the battery and i HOPPPPPPPE that it can recieve a firmware. CROSS YOUR FINGERSSSSSSSSSS. if it works my phone is UNbricked....... woOoOo!!! oh man this is so hype!!! i cant believe it.... am i counting my chickens before they hatch?
can flashing a wrong DRM completely brick your phone? I'm sure that i've flashed a wrong DRM atleast once and successfully revived..

Use a different phone to charge it. Or a desktop charger.

I'm sorry about your phone dude. lets get proactive here and make a guide of top things NOT to do, or things to be careful of when doing any modding to phones.

Well you can add "DO NOT PLUG A REVERSED POLARITY CHARGER INTO YOUR BLUETOOTH" to the list.
:owned: :scared:
I am alos noticing some inconsistencies in my phones cattery indicator. I am only hoping that It's charging capabilities have not been idsrupted. I've got a java app looping right now trying to discharge the battery.

I wanna know this too, is it possible?

So what are the best ways of reviving bricked phones?
ruff_ryders_uk

Modderators, would it be better to put safety guides on any motorola modding sites of people what they must not do while modding/flashing their phones because alot of people hav bricked thier phones for flashing the wrong bootloader/firmware (e.g. flashing V3i itunes monsterpack to non V3i itunes phones)
hope this will help, if it does it will prevent alot of phones from getting bricked... :-)

Yup, good idea. Should be prob added to flashing guides per phone. Then you just gotta get people to read em... ;)
ruff_ryders_uk
10-25-2006, 09:01 PM
yeah man i try and get people to read before they mod, this will stop people for bricking their phones
ruff_ryders_uk
10-25-2006, 09:02 PM
because flashing a phone can possibly be a problem if people dont check their bootloaders and S/W vresion

I am assuming his battery was just low is why it wasn't starting up in boot loader mode. All you should have to do is find an alternative method of charging the battery (friends phone, desktop charger), charge that battery up, and start your Slvr up in boot loader mode and flash original firmware.
