How to retreive SMS!

I gave my friend mobile Phonetools and he needs to know how he can restore the SMS he saved into the new V3 he is getting.

Stick a different sim in and send them to yourself...

Why would you want to transfer SMS messages?

My friend had to change his V3 and now he will lose all his SMS. He saved them on the computer thanks to the software but you know, they are some SMS of friends in Egypt and its easier for him to just click reply or they are jokes etc... So, the only thing he can do is send them to himself? Thanks.

maybe read them with p2ktools and copy them to the new phone..

Seriously, I think i keep SMS's like about ZERO seconds after reading them.... Jokes are only funny once.

Or if you have a /a/mobile/msgdb/message_data.rm file, you can just transfer that.
