Changing Menu to 3x4

I've noticed most skins have a 3x4 menu layout, but my phone has 3x3.
What's the easiest way to change this?

It all depends on the skin. You can use Skinner4moto and then import the 3x4 from the moddings folder in the Skinner4moto folder.

Or you can use Menu Maker:

The problem is that I have a 3x3 menu, and the 3x4 skins do not work correctly on my phone.

Have you edited your mma_ucp? You have to edit it and add the 3 extra icons for it to work correctly.
