Java Apps 0 net connection

I'm frustrated and cannot find the solution anywhere on any forums so I'm going to ask the community for help: None of my java apps can make a connection to the internet. I can connect to my browser and surf just fine but neither opera nor gmail nor anything net related can connect. Any clue what I can do to fix that? Please help. Thanks in advance

Sorry about the delay, this was supposed to have emailed me when someone responded. I have T-mobile US, I found a websession file, i don't remember where but it fixed the problem. My apps all work now. Thank you for your response though i appreciate it.
