Continuous backlight is offset 0A, bit 7, but as Art2 said, it doesn't really work on the SLVR. I did this seem edit and I now have the Continuous option in my backlight menu. However, my screen goes off after 60 seconds whether I have it set to Continuous or not.

I also have the Idle Clock turned on and yet once the screen goes dark, there is no clock there, it's just a dark screen, but when I hit the End button (or any other button) to wake the phone up, the clock flashes up for a half second before the screen comes back on. I suspect that maybe these two functions don't really work with the SLVR. Hopefully if someone who has a SLVR and it does work on their phone will let us know.

Here's something that might help. If you go to Settings > Initial Setup and then have Display Timeout set to Off and Backlight set to Continuous, then that will keep your display screen on all the time.

That didn't work for me. Did it work for you?

Yes. It's been on for over an hour now.

I'll try it again. Just be ready to charge your battery sooner!

Nah, that does not work in my phone... I think that's something motorola set up to save battery automatically. All SLVRs do that.

Glad to hear it's working art2. I ended up changing mine back to 60 seconds because having it on all the time was running down my battery. Still it's nice to know the capability is there if I need it.
