Hi All,

I'm new to the board. I bought the k1m almost a month ago so i decided to get a microsd card to expand the memory. At first I bought the Kingston 1gb version. I was able to download songs onto it about 400 megs in one shot but the next day when I tried to add more songs on to the card it crapped out. WMP 11 stopped recognizing the phone mid transfer and stopped the syncing. I disconnected the phone and tried looking at the music library already downloaded but it wouldn't load the music screen and then went back to the main screen. I tried the sd card in my card reader and the card reader said card access error. I tried a couple times and it just wouldn't access the card anymore.

I then bought the sandisk 1 gb card. I downloaded the k1m drivers this time and the syncfix patch that was released. It was working great and recognized the phone and the card. I put a beatles album on the card and was listening to it all day. The next day in the morning I made a playlist of about a hundred songs that I then synced to the phone. About the 5th song into the list that it was syncronizing the phone lost connection to the pc and the transfer stopped. I tried to unplug the phone and replug it but it wouldn't recognize the phone. I wasn't able to access the card through my reader (card access error) and I couldn't access the files on the card through my phone. Another dead card! I was about to throw the phone against the wall.

Has anyone had the same situation? Is it because I am transferring to many files at once? The phone is able to sync once I remove the card but the cards keep getting destroyed. Help me please!

Suggestions welcome! Thanks in advance.

I have verizon by the way

I don't know what to think about that. I know these flash cards can only be written to like 20,000 times before they go bad, but that doesn't apply here....If it was me, I would buy the highest quality microsd card I could find (Kingston and regular SanDisk aren't the best) and if it screws that up, take the phone back and tell them your problem...
