no :( You could experiment with it in a hex editor...does the k1m HAVE a gain table?

I believe it does, It has a gain table.bin or whatever. I'll play around with it, and see if i can make any progress.

yeah that's really the only option right now. We need someone to figure it out. Once/if you do, we can write a program to change them

Hi GG.

How is the gain table editing going? My telus phone doesn't have that file. At least it isn't named the same thing if it does. What directory is your file in?
It's sure nice to have another agressive k1m modder here. You sound like you have much more more general know-how than me. I just stumble blindly through the mine field relying a great deal on luck, guesses and the faint footprints of those who have gone before. Oh well, it's just a phone, right? ;)
Oh, and any progress with the mma_ucp?

I completly forgot about it, but I took a look at it just now (it's located in a/), and it's empty; no data...??? :hissyfit:

Thanks for the mma's... I've gotten the "usb_mma" to work, but it's missing one .gif in the menu, and when I try to connect through USB, I get a message saying "cannot connect to memory card"... I tried copying the lines of code to the metro mma, and I almost bricked my phone... (i prayed to the moto gods) and it came back. I'm still reading up on how they did it on the razr... my eyes are hurting, and my head is spinning... it's like reading chinese...

Yeah, I know what you mean about feeling like you're trying to read a foreign language. My family chuckles at me as I sit staring at gibberish hoping I can learn by osmosis.

I don’t know if this will help, but . . .

On the telus phone, SPARK is the web and related applications. Under the SPARK menu are:
Wireless Web
Downloads
IM & Chat
TV & Radio
Games
Videos
Applications
My Games\Apps

All of the icons for this are found in a\motorola\shared. They can’t be changed in S4M

a\motorola\system has some of the other icons that aren’t changeable in S4M. The dap.gifs are the mp3 player icons. You’ll see I’ve changed mine to something weird just to check if they were they icons the phone was using. All of these icons and their directories that aren’t changed through S4M are referenced in my mma file except for the video camera. It seems the video camera icons are DRM and there is no known way to access those on CDMA phones yet.

In my mma I changed video camera to mp3 player in the menuroot so that I would be able to have control over all 9 icons that show up on the icon menu screen. Although somewhat cumbersome, at least now I can change all of them.

Also, you probably know, but you can’t replace animated icons with static icons.

I’ve uploaded a\motorola\system and a\motorola\shared if you want to take a look.
