It is definitely as good as it looks--even better.

I will be getting more photos of it today--they guard that one well, which is lame, since at 3GSM people were allowed more leeway with photos and vids, etc.... leaving now for day two!

There is a GSM Q coming out in Q2 (http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/product/details.jsp?globalObjectId=180) of this year. There is also a Q9h (http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/product/details.jsp?globalObjectId=181) coming out Q2 which is much cooler. Although I wouldn't get either--they run Windows Mobile, not traditional Moto software. Get the E6 if you want something know, or the Z8 if you can wait a month or two.

Don't think any of them are on Cingular though.

Oh, and to let you all know... we were the FIRST to get actual photos of the RIZR Z6M (http://www.modmymoto.com/ctia2007/day2.php#z6m)! Engadget ran a story on it, and jedixjarf posted a thread with some info on it, but we were the first to have actual photos and not the Motorola mock-ups!

Slider is smooth, much more smooth than the Z6 and Z3. It has a satisfying "click" feel when it hits the bottom due to a couple of small magnets to pull it in. Also, it has their new "kick slide" factor, which means as it slides out it contours to your face, so it feels better than any slider phone out there on your face. It fits curved, like a flip phone does, not straight, like a slider.

I'm definitely gunna have to invest in a Z8 even if its to "show off" ...it sounds like a very well engineered phone...a first for Motorola(i think)...after the Nokia 5160 lol
