i used p2k commander to install them. just make a new folder in the skins dir on the phone and copy all the skin files over to it, and restart the phone and you got new skins.

i was not able to do it. I made the folder, copied all the files, they copied successfully but no new skin appears in the phone directory. i did notice the stock skins have a file called skin.handle and a ui sound file, dont know if that makes a difference,

if it comes with a p2k commander file just double click on that and it should install it automatically. right now i have aeromoto, invimoto, and star on my z9. i had some other ones but i deleted them.

i can't do it, i don't know what's wrong. in p2k commander it shows the folder and files are there in the skins folder and when i click install it says your file is installed but then i reboot the phone and...no love. I am sad.

i use 4.9.E or you can use p2k tools 3.0.8 but dont forget to change p2k tools to p2k05

no that will not work. I tried to be sneaky and put another skin's data in the plush folder, but it simply removed the folder from the menu

Are you trying the V9 skins, and they are installing to the right folder?

I did the same thing but there is now no icon for messages or settings. no big deal but the only way I could get the skin to work is they way you did. The phone I'm using keeps saying messages are full and that there is no memory available, but there are no messages and the phone has over 49 megs free so I'm going to get it swapped out and will try again.

well right now messages and settings icons are the only ones that will change, if someone unlocks the mma we will be able to get media mall and other useless things off the menu screen.

the message and settings icon is not there at all! i am using p2k v4.9.e and when i download a skin that has the install, it puts it into p2k but does not load to the phone. when i use the way of changing the file names and then dropping them into an already made folder it works. also if i create a new folder from a downloaded skin and move them over it doesn't work. but it's odd that the icons disappear with nothing there. same for bluetooth icon as well. is there a way to get those back?

i went one by one with each data file and it's something in the .ski file

Noticed something else interesting, one skin I put on (from the v9 section) made the music player not work, it would play one song and then it would close the music player and rebuild the library.

I just put the MagxMoto on my phone with p2k commander 4.9e with no problems. You don't have to make a new folder, i just went to the skins on my phone with p2k and double clicked the p2k installer for the skin icon i put on my desktop and it installed, everything seams to work correctly.:rockon: forgot to say, then i powercycled the phone with p2k before disconnecting but most probally know to do that.

C the thing is I assumed skiman would do the same thing with my z9 as it did with my v3xx. Big mistake, Im desperate for a solution, my screen is blank, camera works, makes calls, but it is skinless... I erased all three trying to free space, dumb move i know.. But if anyone can tell me a program that will allow skin installation for my motorola Z9, I would be most grateful

P2k commander can do it
