motorola not recognised

hey guys just got an l71 and i'm trying to get my phone setup and recognised and it wont work. does anyone know why it wouldnt work? i've tried everything. has it got to do with the usb connection setting?
any help would be great

Yeah, make sure your settings>connection>USB setting is set to data connection, and make sure you have the drivers (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=2239) installed.

any idea on how i can get my l71 to be recognized my motomidman? tried editing the .ini but still it wont work. Managed to get some games via midway but i like midman a bit more. tnx!
