Cingular V3xx

Although its not a "New" phone...its been out for a bit... I thought you guys may want to know what you would be getting into.

The Cingular V3xx is a V3xx in looks and is VERY FAST with the Cingy 3G network. The drawback is that they removed the internal camera and replaced the external camera light with a worthless red LED. Please keep in mind that in the USA, only Cingular has a 3G network. If you plan to purchase this phone and unlock it (which I did) you will only get 2.5 G with other carriers.

I am generally happy with the phone as a whole, but I am disappointed that they removed the LED and internal camera.

I got mine at the beginning of feb from Cingy for like $80...

What internal camera?

The Motorola "untainted" version has a VGA camera located on the inside hinge for video calls. It was removed by Cingular for whatever reason... Its the same kind of camera the V3x has (but without the focus slider)

Oh, yeah just saw that thanks! haha It's weird to remove a camera just for Cingular/America use. =\

My friend just got it and I think it's a pretty good phone overall but Cingular made it so that most of the menu options are WAP related.

I just ordered one of these from Cingular. My old phone was a tweaked V360 and I loved it! I lost that and ordered another one but it came with AER firmware, the only available MP was Yuett's and I don't know if it is cause he uses an apple based program or what, the phone is useless! Motorola phone tools won't work with it and it can't seam to register so I get emergency phone calls only. I finally gave up and the v3xx, hope I'm not gonna be sorry! They have a v365 @ cingular but I don't know anything about it .

you will love it. just take your time and get to know the phone file system for a few before modding. and do your reading on this phone... there is no flashing a mp to a cingy v3xx to fix it. as far as stock menu... it kinda sucked so i got a modded mma_ucp for mine and it worked just fine.
