These phones lacked something that all great phones have now. I own a V9 from Canada (The Euro one is better, but you cant use 3G services with a unlocked phone here)
It needed:
1. Full HTML Browser to be complete. WAP 2.0 / xHTML does not cut it
2. FM Radio with RDS (Nokia and Ericsson have it as a standard now)
3. North American version with WCDMA 850 / 1900 (and not removing features like they did the V9)
4. the Z10 should have had USB 2.0 not 1.1

I thought Opera Mobile fit the bill..

I'm always wondering why Moto never puts FM radio, except on SOME ROKR phones, or some low-end ones like the W220. If my Z8 had radio, it'd be complete.
Then again, I almost never listen to the radio lol. As far as "must have" features, it's really at the bottom of the list, for me.
3. North American version with WCDMA 850 / 1900 (and not removing features like they did the V9)
Z8/Z10 aren't sold in North America, are they? Heard Z10 will be, but no clue who the guy's source was, etc, so we'll have to wait and see. Maybe moto's making a NA version that uses NA 3G bands..
4. the Z10 should have had USB 2.0 not 1.1
Does it really have 1.1? That'd be like a step backwards lol, has this been confirmed or is it just some website's "features" that were wrong?

as susanu said the Z10 already have usb v2.0 it is just maybe a mistake some website do, and the phone is quad band gsm meaning it supports GSM 850, 1900 as well as 900 and 1800 meaning it well not be problem to operate the phone in north america. as for the radio u have to ask your self "r u really using the radio that much?" just upload as much music as u can i u can open your own radio station!! but it would have been cool if z10 already had one, it is not very important anyway, what u forgot to mention is the absense of WLAN. also the HTLM browser is an issue but u can overlook it when u use the phone, then again it would have been better if it already has it.

Original post specifically mentioned WCDMA bands, not GSM ;) That means 3G.

But when Ericsson and Nokia have FM radio as standard,
and it is 1.1, I read that off of motorola :(
and Opera Mobile on this phone is WAP only :(

WEird, the Moto site DOES say USB 1.1. Very weird lol.
and Opera Mobile on this phone is WAP only :(
Not sure what that means. I got a bad phone bill lol, cuz I was in Poland and went to google mail on my phone, expecting to see the mobile version, but for some reason it showed me the full desktop version. Looked exactly the same as on my Mac. I call that full HTML....

i think most of your questions will get their answers.i'm looking forward this phone to come to Türkiye.and when available i will get one.
One more if they have a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack they would really perfect.I think this is more important than FM radio.who doesn't want to listen his favorite songs with a Sennheiser IE4 on his Z8/Z10
What do you think?

I use the bluetooth headset, no wires involved ;)
Although, one way or another, I use my phone as a PHONE primarily. I want perfect audio quality, I'll attend a concert lol. Gonna content myself with whatever earphones are available freely with my phone and use my money for more worthwhile things, such as food lodging and travelling. I think I got past my gadget phase LOL. Is this what maturity feels like? Feels like before except I don't desire so many gadgets anymore.

Hey Patrix in fact the life and choice is totally up to you but aren't you opposite with yourself. You want perfect audio quality but also you say that you will sue the headphone(generally a bad one) provided.one more thing;a mature should eat to live not live to eat.
Whatever else in the end everything is up to you and life is yours.Do the things which make you happy. cheers

Nah, I said if I wanted perfect I'd attend a concert or something. For a phone I'll content myself with whatever's provided, which so far have been good enough for me.

yes exactly, and expecting my phone to be an audio powerhouse that can rival a cinema or concert isn'T something I can realistically expect nor can it make me happy to expect it ;)
For me it's primarily a phone, with some nice features added in, and some really great sound quality for phonecalls - I was in a nightclub in Prague recently and got a phonecall, I didn't even need to get out I stayed right where I was near the dancefloor and could hear my mom clearly, and she could hear me clearly.
The rest is all secondary... Or even tertiary...
