Hello, I'm new around here as of today and was wondering if you could share some of your knowledge.
I recently bought a 2gb MicroSD for my v360 in hopes of creating a small mp3 player for myself. Upon putting it in the phone, it refuses to format it. I'm pretty sure the problem is that I didn't realize that the v360 only supported up to 512mb. After some googling i came across this site and ending up flashing to Diabolic53MP v 1.3 +itunes in hopes that this would solve my problem. However, the same thing is happening. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm sorry to be the one that brings the bad news, v360 doesn't support 2gb cards. I supports 1 GB max ( with issues, you can't format it in the phone ). Try to go back with the card at the store and switch it for a 1gb TF.

Thanks alot for the info. Guess i'll just keep this one around for the next round of hacking.
Hello. I have returned to this thread with a one gig card. How do I go about formatting it? Please note that I do not have any card reader besides this phone. (I'm sure I can borrow one if I need too though.) Thanks in advance.
I have searched all over these forums and got real close to my question. (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4942)

However, nobody has actually answered this question. Can it be done? Thanks
Well at first my phone refused to recognize the card. After a little while I tried again and it formatted my 1 gig sandisk Micro Sd card fine. Using motoTunes along with Diabolic53MP v 1.3 +itunes I've finally gotten my ipodtiny. Thanks

DON'T FORMAT THE CARD USING THE PHONE. It won't work. I had to buy a card reader because of that. If the card works as it is you don't need to format it. If you made the mistake to format it any way, format it again using a card reader and it will work. I have some problems with the card like - I can't transfer anything on it just by using the USB cable, I have to use the card reader each time.

Out of curiosity, what would happen if you took a brand new, formatted 512k card, transfered the file system to a 2 gb card, and put it in a V360? Would it work?

I don't think so, 2GB cards are not recognized by v360.

Then, that would work for other phones, like the V3i!

you have to format a 128 mb tf and copy all the folders and paste on your 2 gb
it works for my 1 gb tf

Yes, I've discovered this problem, but out of every ten times I try to use the USB directly one might work. Hah. I'll just have to buy a card reader. Another way around this is to use p2kcommander or p2ktools and switch to the b:/ drive (card) and just do small transfers as it is not convenient for large ones.
@milkbone-the 2gb card was not supported so I went out and got a 1gb one.
@danilow-that's because it's a 1gb card :) It won't work for a 2gb card.
