Does anyone know if it would be possible to flash my Z10 with the Z8 Ferrari Firmware using RSD_Lite 4.1
A bit like putting SE K810i firmware on my K800i, no!
Why? Because I have a few niggly problems with my O2 Firmware and I wanted to see if I could run the Z8 firmware until a generic Z10 firmware was released. Then I would go back if I chose to.
Aren't these basically the same phone except for the camera mp, and the Z8 running UIQ 3.1 as opposed to the Z10's UIQ 3.2?
I have RSD_Lite recognising my Z10 and the ferrari firmware loaded. I just haven't had the guts to hit start incase I create a brick.
So, would it be possible or should I just be patient and wait for a proper Z10 firmware release?
Thanks In Advance........

This is probably a good sign.
Compare: when the Z8 came out, and soon after the V8, I looked around on eBay. Results?
LOTS LOTS LOTS of Z8 for sale (along with lots of negative opinions about it on the net in general)
NOT ONE V8 for sale, and may positive reviews.
So, perhaps having no Z10 on eBay so soon after the release is a good indicator that the phone is good

I was referring to the companies on eBay, such as phone-source, rosa, etc. that buy these phones as brand new and sell them as brand new. Therefore, it wouldn't matter how good the phone was.

I don't know how these things work. Maybe the roll-out process is slow. Even though it's been official out for (over?) a month, I didn'T see it in stores until recently. I think the O2 stores were trying to clear their Z8s first before showing the Z10...

Yep, i've looked everywhere for one. No luck. Still waiting for a release of a firmware too.
Well, just for laughs I loaded up RDSLite and had a go at loading Z8 firmware onto my Z10 and...............................
nothing it froze on loading flash mode.
RDSLite said it was transfering to flash mode and the phone went to a white screen with Boot Loader on.
Then it just froze there and eventually failed the process.
Oh well i tried.
