iTunes can't load certain songs to phone?

For some reason there have been some songs from iTunes that I haven't been able to drag and drop to my cell phone. Is there a certain setting I can change to allow all songs to be put on my phone?

actually I already had these songs on my phone from before I even downloaded iTunes.

It could be the format/bitrate, I think. Try converting to AAC, if they aren't already. You may, also, have filled the 100 limit that iTunes allows you to drag to your phone. Try selecting all of the songs you want to add and then right click on them. Add To Playlist > [your phone]
