I'm working on changing the housing of my v3 because my puppy used it as a chew toy. And now the earpiece speaker doesnt work at all. I have to use the speaker phone option for calls now. I haven't opened up the top of phone at all, only the bottom. I also changed the keypad aswell.

i switched the backing on this part, which resulted in the earpiece not working.

from what i can tell there was no physical damage done to anything, but i don't know too much about electronics to really know what im looking at. everything else on the phone works fine.

any help? thanks :)

Well, that red spot isnt good. When you took the backing off, did you tug on the ribbon at all? that could be it too. Try a reflash, but dont hold your breath. Are you positive that it worked before dismantling it?

that pic isnt of mine, i took it from a guide i was following.

and yah, it worked fine before i took it apart. dog chewed it up a couple months ago, just got around to getting the new housing.
