Metro PCS L7c SLVR -some of my amrs and 3gps wont show...

The card is perfectly fine but it seems like even when I move/format my movies and music off the card and put then back on (.amrs for music, .3gp for video), some others show, but others disappear. Also, I can't specify any categories! I LOVE THIS PHONE BUT I NEED SOME HELP PLEASE!?!?!

-PS - there is a way to enable the USB option but you have to know someone at verizon in the tech department...at least it worked for me... :rockon:

Do you mean that you have a video on your card, then switch it out for a different one, and when you bring it back its not in the directory?

Well, for example

I would have 5 videos and 3 would show. I take all five off the card and put them back on the card. Now only 2 are showing and they are different videos. Same with the amr's...:banghead:

wow, are the filenames really long? What are you using .amrs for? BT music?

well I'm using a miksoft amr converter and I'm using the nokia media convertor for my 3gps... what's BT music?

music that you can hear through your headset even though theres no A2DP Bluetooth profile. Old school hack. Why are you convering to .amr, for more space?
i would make sure that the files dont have long names, they will get rejected.

:duh: A2DP Bluetooth profile...I was using amr's not only for space but because on moto phones, it plays through bluetooth...but only for audio on the l7c, not video...

tried the mp3 thing...still nothing :doh: ...I think it is the file name length (even though I have some showing with about 15-18 characters long...:confused: ), I have to go work now, I'll tryi to figure this out when I get home...thanks for your help...

I think I got it (or at least it's working...:thumbsup: ). I dropped the file on the card then renamed it with no major special characters (;, ", ', *, stuff like that, I do have -'s and ()'s). So far it worked for every file I put on the card, so...until I find the real root of the problem, I suggest this for now (so much for my techy contribution for this forum...lol). at least it works, thats the whole point. I do some really half baked stuff to get things to work lol
