firstly, make sure that the MP is compatible with your unit (or risk bricking your phone). settings --------> phone status-----> other info -------> S/W version. if your phone is also R452D, then you can flash this MP. then make a full backup of your phone (using F&B, registered). Download RSD lite (use google), then you're all set.

Sorry but i have mentioned that Flash and backup is preferred so make a backup with flash and backup 3 (registered) and also flash it with flash and backup 3 (registered)............:tapdance:

What phone is this thread about? By the software versions, it looks like it is for pure L7. Why L7i then? L7i is a different phone. And the picture in the first post it is L7e. So what are we talking about here? L7, L7i, L7e or I am not even close?

L7i/L7e/L71 all refer to the same phone. what's different altogether is the L7i-mode. by L7i/L7e/L71, we mean phones that have firmware R452D.

Yo moto god - I flashed my L71 with this MP and it looks great i love it... but uhhhh, for some reason when i flashed it everything worked fine except for the "messages" part of the phone... when i try to go to the Messaging menu either through the right Soft key or through the main menu it asks for a 4 digit code.

Ok, I am about to flash this thing to my phone, however I have one question. When I backed up my original data it did not have a "CG2 (Flex)" in the code groups. I seen that yours does. Is there a way to find the Flex off my phone as Flash and Backup does not see it. Or am i just to ignorant to know that this is not a big deal? Also do you have more details as to details of the flex.

I am new to this and want to learn what I can. Also I have read that some of these MPs can change battery life and reception (the two most important parts of a phone for me), does this MP change these?

Next question is that if we have to enter the security code, will I have to enter it every time I want to view messages or just once?

If your backup does not containg CG2 do not flash this yet , Register flsh & backup 3 then you will be able to backup Cg2 and have a full working backup,

Hey, awesome MP! Finally got my Digital Audio Player to work again, LoL. But I was wondering if iTunes is also a usable application on this MP, or on any other MP's for SLVR L71 R452D_G_08.02.06R?

Hey, All I could use was the DAP. I figured something messed up when I was flashing the MP. I re-flashed it and low-and-behold, the phone loaded with iTunes and connected to mototunes! Stupid program quirks... Sorry for wasting post space, LoL:fryingpan:
