hallo ..
so you can find on torrent or emule the converter & manual how to do this...
but you will be not able to play this video with our player.. i think we have a new player which not support the old converter...

hahahaha not sorry. I come from Venezuela. but the phone was bought in italy to the company TIM. The film is in Italian did not understand. but have an excellent quality, good sound. and weighs just 200 mb. approximately. and I read elsewhere that is a format that saves battery power. Ideal for listening to movie.

Exactly! I have the old converter and I cannot play the sample files it had in .mo format in Z8's mobiclip player.
We need also an avi coded with actimagine's mobiclip video codec to convert it to .mo, which is not available for public anymore,To add this codec to an avi we could use an old version virtual dub (which contains this codec but I haven;t managed to find it.New versions do not have it.)

bay the way.... the time you will take to convert to mobiclip. (for the moment its impossible) convert the movies to the avi (divx) just resize the video (240 x 176 i think) & you can play a regular divix video with a divix player & its not a warez (but you have to sing in on divix.com for this soft..)
:p

video sizes are 240x320 for QVGA (fullscreen best quality) and 176x220.

Quality is note a probleme.... you can get a MP4 movies in very good quality or a DivX
the Cool staf of Mobiclip its a battery-save... (hmmmm safe or save... hmmm)
normal video use your battery.. & mobiclip give you a possibility to wach a movies for longer time..
(its a time to lern how to write English... i'm wrily bad in this...)

I've switched to the mobile Divx player (http://www.divx.com/mobile/) and never looked back. Sure, you need to use their converter, but it's a snap to use and gives some pretty good results.

Mobiclip uses 7 times less battery power without sacrificing on quality (25fps). I watched the Bourne Identity and still had near full battery by the time it was over. It also has seamless video searching. Thats why I dont want to change because another player might offer the same quality but whats the big deal my battery dies halfway through the movie anyway.
I found a converter online but it used the old 2.42 beta codec instead of the new HD codec, so all videos I converted would not play on my Z8.
I am finally fed up with this stupid "innovation". It was a nice idea I guess but it serves no practical use unless a proper converter is made available to us devout Moto supporters. I mean, Moto isnt that great but I still choose to support it over other phones. I've never had any other kind of phone. Ever. Its the least they can do to repay me after I paid an arm and a leg for this phone.
Oh well. I decided to abandon the mobiclip format completely and I'm currently converting all my files to AVI instead.
