Hey Ruud you're prob just using the wrong settings for your gif making. Is it 128 or 256 colors? If you can't get it, post up a .png or .jpg and I'll convert it...

Ruud

Well, thanks but you got me there p_f...

When i start to make one, this is what i do (see pic) I make it biger because it's easier to work that way and i just resize them before saving. I choose the lowest resolution (72 dpi) because i think 96 or higher won't show nice on the small screen anyway (but please tell me i am wrong?). What should i choose in that small screen? it's on 24-Bit RGB when i choose nothing myself!

http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m82/ruud170/screen3.jpg

When i am ready to save them there is only one type of gif i can choose and it says: "GIF - CompuServe Bitmap" so maybe i need to change something in the settings of CorelX3???

What do you use to convert png, jpeg, etc to gif???

Thanks, Ruud (the gif n00b):corkysm21:

Maybe i should give it a go.

I have some that I'm making right now. Not guides, M3 gifs. But I'm a perfectionist, so It'll take me a day or so to get it right. I'll post them on here as soon as they're done.

With Corel, how do I save them as .gif files? It only gives me weird options.

sebgonz
11-16-2006, 01:36 PM
Nevermind. I realized I have to export them. But I'm still getting some crappy resolution.

This is what I got. It's my first one with Corel, so, if you don't like it, let me know what you would enjoy.

Well I’ve been using Corel for a few years and have Corel 8,9,10,11, &12 LOL I got 8 when it first came out, so that should tell you just how many the “few” in few years is.... Tho right now I did take 9&10 off cause I wasn’t using them at all.. Yea I've been procrastinating on picking up X3, but I will (soon).. Anywho there is not to much I DON’T know about them, so if ya get stuck or need some help just PM me :D Oh it might interest you to know; that you PhotoShop users CAN import some of the plugins into Corel and by import I mean IMPORT; tho they won’t install, you can just copy them into the plugin’s folder in Corel...
