I am trying to delete some empty skin folders from my V3re. I d/l Motocats V3re flex editor but am not sure what I am doing wrong. It seems that I neeed to create a flex backup in either .shx or .sbf format, but am unable or unsure to do so.

If I use P2K Commander, how do I do this?

I tried the Flash & Backup program, but it will only create a .fb3 format backup, the program fails (errors) when trying to create .shx or .sbf format backups. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Are you using the newest FB3 program? Only FB3.07 has all the profiles enabled to create a shx or sbf file.

Yes, I am using 3.0.7 FB. Perhaps there is something I am doing wrong?

Dumba, this is what I get when I try to make a SHX or SBF backup using FB:

What could I possibly be doing wrong? NO backup files are created. Thanks for your help.

Looks more like your Flashdriver from motodev doesn't kick in. Turn on RSD Lite or FB3, then start the phone in BL mode, pressing #and * and power on at the same time, the screen of the phone will display a software message. Now see if it is recognized, if it is, it should backup.

Thanks Dumba, but its a no go.. I tried that , got the boot loader screen and then plugged in my USB cable. FB3 seemed to see my phone, I clicked on Read, FB3 said sending loader, FB3 shut down my phone and 15 minutes later.....nothing happened.

Hmmm, don't know really. One of those stupid situations, all you want to do is use Moto Editor and you get stopped by FB3. It could be the driver set, it could be the USB port you are using, it could be the USB cable or even the copy of FB3 you got might be faulty.
