Hi Guys! My Rarz came up with this Invalid Battery message. I tried a brand new battery but it did not fix it. Anybody has a solution out there? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Try cleaning the phones contact points with an eraser or something like that.
This message usually comes up if the phone gets wet or there's physical damage to it. Did either of those happen? Is the new battery an oem?
I did a search on this found many complaints but no real solution. The only solutions that i saw were buying an original battery, cleaning the leads, and taking out and inserting the sim card.
Couple people said they took out the battery, took out the sim card, blow the dist off, insert the sim card, and insert the battery. After doing this a couple times it seemed to work for them.

This happened to my v3 after it took a dip in the pool, to this date I have not found any solution, and trust me, I tried just about everything before buying a new phone. Sorry.

Somewhere along the line there is corrosion. I'd rip it apart and clean it in alcohol and let it dry and then reassemble it. Make sure to clean the battery contacts real good, maybe with an eraser or some fine sandpaper.

Right, I took the whole thing apart...to no avail. Oh well, bought a cheap moto on eBay, and I'm waiting until I'm eligible for an upgrade.

if you want to take it apart, theres a good guide on poetic folly's website (www.themotoguide.com), there might be one on this site too, i havent really looked to deep into the guides section (maybe i should)
just when you put it back together, dont sever any wires, it takes awhile to get the stupid keypad from hongkong :-D
yeah edit that--
go to guides on this website, then on the left hand side, click on taking it apart, its a copy of whats posted on themotoguide, which i guess would make sense since they are both poetic folly's website

I've seen this with a battery that has either drained too far below specs for a Li-ion or also if the battery has been around any moisture. You can tell by looking at the top edge of the battery there is asmall slot that you can look down in. If it is grey or looks like corrosion moisture is the culprit. When I say moisture it means even in a sweaty pants or shirt pocket. The slot in the battery should look like shiny copper if it has not had any exposure to moisture.
By they way if anyone is have problems with a battery that doesn't last a full day or doesn't charge correctly, check the slot on the top of the battery if is grey or gery-green corrossion the battery will have to be replaced. Check with your cell carrier's office, some will exchange them for free whenever you need one I know mine does.:)
I just noticed you said you tried a brand new battery it is possible the battery is defective it happens.
