Hi All,

I just got my Z8 recently, I got it from Singapore since this type doesn't come up in my country .... oh and I'm from Indonesia ... :)

I still try to explore this Z8 when suddenly I got message from the phone something like ..."cannot running application, memory is full"..

I try to figure out what the problem and I found that when we push the home button for few second the phone show that several applications still active as .... maybe we can say background application

My question is .... are there really running applications that make my phone said memory is full, and how to really close these applications for sure ???

what applications are you talking about?.
the home screen settings allow the plugins to show [ie: calls, messages, profiles, music player, etc]these applications arent running and these wouldnt cause the phone memory full message.

need more info on your problem

it's not the Home Screen .... it's the "Home Key" .... I think it's quite similar with "Menu Button" on Nokia

What I did was I hold the Home Key for few seconds then the phone will pop up new window that show last five recent application ... on my case they were recent calls, web browser, file manager, contacs, and doc to go ...

Anybody can explain this ??

Get Swiss Manager (from cellphonesoft.com), no need to get the Pro version. You can use it to end applications and free up some memory. Otherwise, the only way is to reboot the phone (clunky, huh).

dankif: when you press the home key for a couple of seconds, you see a list of the 5 running or most recent applications that were used, for easy switching between them.

Although I use Swiss Manager for that, I set my right softkey to run it so I can quickly switch between tasks and end them when necessary. My phone runs for days without any issues...

In the Task list, use the 'cancel/return' key of the Z8, the one just above the End Call key - hte same one you would use to delete a chatacter while typing. Yes Swiss Manager actually makes that key useful on the Z8 LOL. It's in the free Swiss Manager manual available from the same site you get it (cellphonesoft.com) ;0
