i bought a U9 on the internet and had it shipped to the US from the UK, it works fine here but i have my roaming warning pop up every time a call is recieved. provider says i'm not charged with roaming but i want to make sure it is set properly to function in the US i think it is still formated to function in the UK but nobody can help me with it since it apperantly isn't supported by any US based tech support. can anyone help me with this?

provider is T-mobile. but it seems to be routing my calls through the UK for some reason. not sure exactly why it's doing that, is supposed to be an unlocked phone. is it possible that it is locked to a specific provider in the UK?

thanks for the help folks. figured out the problem. wife had a 9 year old sim card. the phone didn't synch with it correctly all we had to do was get a newer up to date sim card to correct the problem. once we did that it worked just fine. there were a few things that needed to be done to set it up to send and receive picture messages and to speed up the process to receive text messages as well but all that information was easily obtained from my service provider and entered into the phone.

What were the settings that they gave you or had you change to get the picture messaging to work? I have tried getting my E8 to do that, but can't figure it out. I have T-mobile as well.

had to change some of the text message settings. you may have to call T-Mobile to find out for sure what the settings are. i think if you are US though this setting may work.
Go into mail. and instead of clicking inbox or whatever hit options and go into settings.
do multimedia messages check your active service profiles, if you don't have one for T-Mobile you will have to make one wich is what i had to do.
to make one go to manage profiles
Create
for profile name put in T-Zones MMS
Service center is http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
internet connection is T-Zones.
then see if you can send a picture message to yourself to unlock the phone to send and recieve picture messages.
let me know if that works.
