NEW Jmg07MaxxV6 skin for JMGUTIER!

Hello again friends, after a time of rest I have returned to present to you my last creation, for mobiles with resolution of screen 240x320. This skin is of 1x17 icons with a high graphic detail. The problem that existed in my previous creatines on the speed of execution now does not exist already, at least in the motorola razr Maxx v6 that is the new model that I have acquired not long ago and I'm very satisfied with. I present to you the preliminary images bearing in mind that here the quality is low because gif only accepts 256 colors. To emphasize that this pack includes two types of mma_ucp, one for the maxx v6 and other for v3x, the last one developed by a good collaborator known like nanoali. Also there are included icons separated from the skin that have to settle in a new folder: e/icons/. I hope that they should enjoy it!

ok...I'm lost too...how do u install this? This 1 is different from other skins...I mean it has three SKI files...how do u install ONE skin with THREE SKI files? The guide shows u how 2 install a skin with ONE SKI file...from what I c. Also...P2K Commander doesn't let u create a folder...it looks like it creates a shortcut or sumthin...so what is a person supposed to do then? BTW...I have a LD V6 MAXX...latest SKIMan and P2K Commander. We're not all pros like u...some of us r newbies/semi-newbies and don't have ur experience wit modding, installing skins, etc...LoL. In conclusion, HELP!!!

The bad news is that when I used P2k Commander 4.9D (using USB Driver 2.9.0), my Maxx V6 (bootloader 03.02, LD-98.30.80R) acted weird.. I lost my Personalised folder from the Settings Menu, and some icons are not animating properly, random freezes of keypad & a momemtary blank screen.

I have to trace back my installation and deleted the mma_ucp and e/icons from P2k Commander but retained the files installed by Skiman even some icons not properly spinning. What gives? Any comments or guides? Thanks you for any help! :confused::confused:

Hmm. I'd back up your media and contacts, flash it, and put the files back up. The Personalize menu leaving just means that mma_ucp has it somewhere else.

The Personalised Folder was back again when I mentioned previously that I deleted both the mma_ucp from the a/mobile/system folder and e/icons folder.. Will a Maxx V6 Master Reset bring back my phnoe's original setup and then reinstall the skin and its files? Or should I uninstall the skin files from Skiman?

Just Reinstalled and tried again to install this skin using the old way of making a skin folder in p2k Commander 4.9D under skins folder of a/mobile (did not use Skiman), uploaded mma_ucp to systems folder and made an e/icons folder but the same weird thing happened (lost again my Personalised Folder).

Well I guess I have to give up installing this AWESOME skin and delete it. Thanks for all the help!

After about 7 unrelenting trial/error attempts (luckily my V6 was robust enough to survive), I finally got this wonderful skin installed! There were 4 other M3 skins installed in my MaxxV6 (aside from the 3 default skins).

I have S/W:R26117D-AS_U_98.30.80R, Language List:0024, Flex version:USVOLANT678RMR26117005, Boot Loader:0302 -- Using P2k Commander 4.9D & USB Driver 2.9.0

1. I deleted these 4 other M3 skins including the mma-ucp from p2k Commander
2. Installed the Jmg07MaxxV6 skin using the manual method of creating the skin folder (a/mobile/skin/Jmg07MaxxV6) & copied into a/mobile/skin/Jmg07MaxxV6 all the downloaded M3 Jmg07MaxxV6 skin files
3. Copied the Jmg07MaxxV6 mma_ucp (for Maxx) into a/mobile/system
4. Created an e/icons folder in the e/ partition
5. Restarted the phone...and WHOA! the high graphic detail and animations are really FANTASTIC in all its glory!

It seems that the other M3 skins mma_ucp were somewhat making a crap out of the Jmg07MaxxV6 mma_ucp because when I installed one M3 skin (to test my hunches), the Jmg07MaxxV6 skin was a mess (animating icons inside a static frame, missing/jumbled icons, etc.). I then uninstalled the M3 skin again & its mma_ucp...and behold Jmg07MaxxV6 skin works perfectly. It appears it does not want any other skins with it in the Personalise>>Skins folder of my MaxxV6 (aside from the phone default 3 skins). Is the cause of conflict comes from the other M3 skin mma_ucp or LD/VL thing? Don't know, maybe others can elaborate on these.

Well, the above steps worked for me, I am just starting to learn these stuff & moving on to learn about DRM coz I wanna change them. For now, I am using ONLY this "Jmg07MaxxV6 skin" until a better one comes up. A split-skin with the huge animating .gif files in the b/icon from RASPUTIN is very promising & shows the power of MaxxV6 nvidia graphics, I am looking forward to it coz I already tried his samples. I appreciate well-made skins/mods ya know.. Thanks & Hope this help!

just for future reference, when we see 3 .ski files,
what do we do on skiman?

my instinct is to install -> clear all -> direct it to each ski file

but it ends up with nothing new.

Hmm, I love the skin, but I want the USB, mediafinder, etc icons, do I just create e/icons and then put em in there, and then replace the old ones using the menu editor on p2k tools? Talk to me ppl! Thanx! :)

I'm just wondering if the Jmg07Maxxv6 skin is applicable to all MAXX MPs. I tested 0x0's method manually on MaxxExtreme and it really worked

Successful. Now I have Darkness home screen, DRM and fonts with a colorful mixture of animated icons all working fine.

The only problem I have is that the date and operator name do not align properly to the left or centered. I had to turn off date and set digital time format.

Now I'm thinking of having the colorful launchbar only (from V6 Maxx R261171LD_U_99.41.08R downloads branding-free). Is that possible?
