when i go to change ring style i can scroll down about 10 or up 10 then it just cancels back out to the last menu anyone know a fix

Yep. Set the phone to all silent, and then delete your mytone.db files from in your phone. This will fix it...

I d/led apristel's cingular monster pack and like it's look, but for the life of me I can not get anything but Vibe when a call is coming in.No option to assign a ringtone for incoming calls. I was able to d/l many ringtones and assign them to contacts. What am I missing/overlooking? Is there another cingular flash that will have at least the classic or continental.

You can try to delete the two .db files from the /a/mobile/audio directory of the phone and then restart it.

Give that a shot, if it doesn't work, we'll restore the audio directory to how it was before I modded it.

Tried that, did not work. And thanks for the great work really makes one feel comfortable.

Try using MPT to upload ringers. Maybe it will correct your issue for you.

The problem isn't that I can't upload ringtones, it is that they can only be assigned to contacts. So when I get a call from someone not in my phonebook I only get the Vibe and no ringtone. I have flashed back to an older Cingular MP for now.
