can't add files in telnet

I telneted my E6 but when i go to the system folder it doesn't let me add new files. I want to take out the old GIF's for on and off and add on new one's but It says i can't add new files. Also, when I log into the root from cmd, it doesn't ask for log in and password all it gives is this: http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f347/lakerballa/E6telnet.jpg

Am i doing something wrong, or is it just not possible to add files into the system?

if you get that screen, you just type "root" without the quotes and press enter. Then open up a new folder window and type in the address bar: \\192.168.16.2\system and press enter. should work.

i simply can't telnet my phone. i followed the tutorials and it shows unable to connect to port.

Do you have USB Net enabled on your phone?
