Hey everyone,
This is my very first post, but I've been lingering on this website for a couple of months now. I also have a Motorola V3re and have been testing a few games that I bought for my previous phones.
Although the list isn't very big, I thought with the help of everyone on the boards that we could compile a list of games that work with the V3re, now that we can finally install java apps.
I'll start with some of the games I have tested, but doesn't work (ie doesn't load, says "Application Error") :::
Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow
Splinter Cell Double Agent
Need for Speed Pro Street
Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift
God of War
------------------------------------------------------------------
List of games that load, but unable to start due to game freezing or game doesn't recognize user input on keypad :::
Call of Duty 4
Burnout
Street Fighter 2
Oregon Trail
------------------------------------------------------------------
List of games that work (game loads, controls work, etc) :::
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (the resolution is off however 320x240)
Those are all the games I have tested so far. Unfortunately, most of the games do not work (perhaps due to the fact that they're 3D?) Maybe some of the better modders on here might be able to find solutions or reasons?
Well, that's all. Hopefully some of you have tested some games also, so please feel free to post your results!

Thanks Dumba.
Good News Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!:woot:
I got Call of Duty 4 to work:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:. Game loads and all the buttons are mapped correctly to mimic the v3re.
I was scouring other forums in search of how I can change resolutions for java games. I came across this post (although not exactly what I wanted):
http://www.************/invboard/index.php?showtopic=41967
Anyways, follow the steps in this guide. I found out that this program only works for games originally made for the Sony Ericsson (so far). I tried a few games that I bought for my nokia before, but unfortunately it didn't work. I would also like to note that although it features changing resolution, I have yet to get it to work. I tried doing it for Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, but no luck. Resolution is still too big and it failed to map buttons correctly.
I will indeed test out Burnout tomorrow when I get a chance, as that is my other sony ericsson game. I really hope it works!
edit:::
hm.. seems like the forum wouldn't let me link the page. I guess I'll have to give you steps, hehe.
1) google "mobile9" and click on the first link
2) click on forum along the top
3) scroll down to manufacturers, and click on motorola
4) the topic is called: How to Adapt Games. Should be pinned and written by Trickyb!tch
5) follow those steps and hopefully you'll be running COD4 too!

I've finally got around to testing the other two games, and as it stands, Call of Duty 4 is the only game that is fully working. Perhaps the V3re isn't made for gaming...

3D applications will not work on older P2K motos. This is due to the phone not having the required hardware to run the games.
For example my L6 which is basically the same hardware, got 50 on matraxbench. most old sony erricsons get 400. if you want a gaming phone, get a motorola U9, that got 600 on matraxbench!

these games confirmed working on my v3re:
Atari legends 1
Defender
Frogger
Galaga
Tempest
Tetris
and i have about a hundred more in a zip file. about four out of five or six have worked so far. i like the classic arcade games myself. really a lot of awsome games. though the v3re really doesnt have a lot of space for games. once you get more than about five or seven you cant receive picture messeges and the like. not enough room. i would be willing to share if there is a way to get them to you all... and im looking for a working .jad of Arkanoid if anyone has one that will work with the v3re.

attached is atari legends pack...1,2 and 3 enjoy:thumbsup:
if the mods dont mind i can post up more games that work for the v3re. maybe we can build an archive of them...
Edit: Attachment removed. We cannot host or link to Games which are not for free or trial versions only. Any other has to be considered warez. That is why we can't , by US law have any archive. The only thing we can do is collect the info here, which games are worth getting, because they are confirmed to work. How you get them, is your choice, but we cannot supply the platform for it. Dumba

I know for a fact that Cubis 2 nees an expansion of the heap size in order to work, otherwize it hangs on the load screen.
All versions of ZledaMobile by Gorthwogh work just fine.

There is a torrent collection of games on Demonoid, probably on other torrent sites, I think called motophone games. All of the games that arent in 240x320 resolution work and there are 145 there.

Problem is the jar and jad files need to be modified a bit with textpad editor to get them to work on our phones, but its not that hard to learn.
Go to google.com and search Jadmaker. have fun :D
