hi

i'm a newbie on modding my phone.

i have a razr v3re

this is what i get when i type *#9999#:

on the menu - preferences - telephone status - more options i got the following information:
DSP S/W: 63393900
list languages: 0039

i read that i have to push three buttons to force bootloader, but this doesn't work (how do i have to push these three buttons? all together or seperately???)
i think my bootloader is something with 01.c0 (or so)...

now i have a few questions:

yesterday i managed to get one skin installed on my phone :thumbsup:

but now i want to change somethings more, i.e the picture in the front display, start up and shutdown animation ...

i tried to exchange the picture for the front display but i diddn't work (with p2k - changed attributes and tried to copy the wanted picture into the system folder of my phone - but no luck)...
so how can i get this problem solved?
another thing is, that i had several problems with getting the phone connected (means that the p2k or other software is able to get a connection so that i can work with it - the rsd lite was the first which was succesful, then the skinmanager - but nothing else - excpet yesterday the p2k in combination with the skinmanager (?) )

how to get rid of unneccesary things like pictures or sounds i think i'm able to learn (thanks to your guides section - there i learned how to get a skin installed :thumbsup: )

another question is - i searched for on different forums - what is the newest s/w for the v3r(e)

so, i hope you can give me some advise in modding a phone

so, i managed to get a few things changed: skin (not difficult with the instructions from this forum - thanks to those who wrote a faq!);
the icons like battery, signal-indicator etc. (i took the new vista drm from the downloads section - works fine :) )

and now some things i want to change:
the menu order - when i change it now, the display and keyboard of my phone go black (soft-restart) - i have the art-skin by jithinSK installed...
it s**** because i have to reload my flex (and installing and deleting everything i like to have it)...

is there a possibility just to load the needed flex (cg1-18 : don't know which is the right one)???

i got further problems with the flash & backup 3.0.7, the program installs but when i try to start it there comes a runtime error and it closes automatically...(my sys is win xp pro sp3 with all updates)

for the moment i got the following programs running to mod my moto:
sbfrecalc (my flash is as a .sbf-file on my hdd), 3g drm (works fine), p2k commander 4.9e (the only p2k which finds my mobile) and skinman 0.51 (works great!)...

but the rest is not running (and when they can't find my mobile connected...).

so long for the moment
