I'm using a USCC V3c

I used P2K Commander to remove (after backing up) some of the stock ringtones and added one of my own. I made these changes in the a/motorola/shared/audio folder.

The Media Gallery-->Sounds menu shows the correct list of files, and plays the one I added just fine. Unfortunately, the Ring Styles and Ringer ID menus do not. My new ringtone doesn't show up, and all the old ones are still there but just play silence. Does anyone know of any way to get these menus to accurately reflect my changes? Thanks.

I don't have any db files in my audio folder, but there are two db files in the a/ directory. They are MyToneDB.db and TmpTneDB.db. Would one or both of those be it?

Any time you add or delete sounds to your phone you must delete those two files. They are simply database files generated by the firmware. If the files are present, the firmware does not check for the presence of new tones; if the files are absent, the firmware parses through the audio folder and creates a new listing.

Also if you're only adding new ones and don't want to erase those files (since it erases your ringer IDs as well) you can just go to your sounds on the phone, it will show the new ringer. Then just set it as your ringtone and it'll get added to the MyTonesDB. Then change your ringtone back to whatever you want
