I have a V3 cingular. I unlocked it but the kid wants all the T-mobile stuff. So exactly what do i need to do? I guess it is called a flexflash? Which program is prefered to do this flash? Thanks!!!
S/W version R374_G_OE.41.c3R_B
Do I need a monsterPack of a flexlash? Does it have to match my 12 digit software version or just anything R374 will work?

This (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=3261) is the stock moto flex file for your phone, more or less it will remove all the cingular junk and replace it with the Motorola junk :D... technically what you are looking for is the "Flex-flash" file which contains cg2 (flex) of the phone and the firmware or cg1 which contains... well most of the files that make the phone work...its the kernel of the phones operating system.
NO it doesn't have to match all out cause of course there are sometimes firmware updates available (depending on the age of your phone), but you cant just go ahead and flash any file... technically speaking you could but thats not a very good idea especially if you don't know what you are doing:alkys:
A mp more or less has all the code groups in it so flashing one would inevitably lead to you getting what ever flex and or firmware that is embedded within it.
your best bet would be either F3B or RSD lite

RSD Lite and a flex file .. GREAT!
but I want T-mobile, should I use this flex >> R374_G_0E.42.09R_GSMV3MXTMB01NA106_flexlash.shx <<
for my phone? I am just not sure that the software version is compatible with mine?

Please explain how do I know which Flex file is compatible with what S/W versions. Thanks

Yes, it'll work but looking at the version now the numbers do match up with that of the stock rogers flex :alkys:but anyway, you can use that file.
Lets put it this way a V3 R374 flex file is only compatible with a V3 R374 hand set, the fact that there are more than one in the downloads section is simply because the flex of the phone is what the carriers usually personalize,(there are some times, files referred to as sticky, once you flash them they cannot be replaced, but enough of that...) what can happen is that there can be a flex lock which more or less would prevent the phone from being used with another sim card or carrier, typically you wouldn't want to interchange flex files unless its absolutely necessary like if for example you were taking back a phone with a modded MP, then you want to put back the carriers junk so that they didn't know you were messing with it:D (voids your warranty and all)

In a nutshell I buy used razr's (broken most of the time) clean, fix and unlock them and resale them. So I would only need to flash them ATT, T-Mobile or stock. I am not concerned with modded stuff. The sticky flash concerns me, I would hate to stumble across it, is it a modded flash or a stock? Let me get this straight, if I got a R374 then I can use ANY R374 flex, correct? Thanks

Yes, as long as the Bootloader of the R374 is below 08.27 you have no problem flashing any flex, or complete MP from the r374 section. There are no stickys, and non of them are locked or will lock the phone. That only is true for the R374 though. If the Bootloader is above 08.26, like 08.27 or 08.29 then flashing might not work, check the V3 section for related threads, loads of those around.

So I downgrade bootloader to 07.D0 and flash with a flex. Should I then upgrade bootloader or just leave it at 07.D0?
I guess i use a reflash to upgrade software, is this really necessary?

I would just leave the BL at 07.D0 Its the best for doing anything with your phone.

IF your only concern is to fix up old broken phones and flash them then just use the stock Tmobile and Cingular files located in the downloads section more or less it'll save a lot of time... just make sure that the software versions match up and as Dumba said for boot loaders 08.26 and below the files in the downloads section are more than adequate anything above that ask and we'll be more than happy to assist
