k1 skin uploads OSX

First post. Great site!

My question Has anyone successfully uploaded skins to their K1? I have tried and failed 2 times. What I really want is the Mac OSX Tiger skin on my K1. I am using a Mac. Can anyone let me konw if they have successfully uploaded some of the great skins on this site?

I tried to follow the instructions but there was some steps that didn't apply (so it seemed)

Yes I am using the files from here and the guide from here. When I upload the skin, all files are there, but when I switch over to the skin I can't see any text in the menus. Has anyone successfully used this skin?

Its like I am missing a step or something... because every skin I install I am missing the text for all the menus. Am I really the only one with this issue?

i'm having some problems setting up my phone. when everything is done, i get this message: [error] Phone is busy. Please try later

my phone somehow changes from USB:Communication to Charge Complete when i set it up, then the error shows up.

what am i doing wrong?

best option for ya'll would be to use skiman...it works perfect for krzr!! got loads of skins loaded onto me krzr though i'm just a few weeks old in this forum.....

i installed the neon skin onto my phone, but when i go to skins it is not there. how do i use it as my skin?

1. make sure that skin is for K1
2. use skiman to install skin .

Hi, I can confirm that the Mac OSX Tiger skin from the Z3 works perfectly on the K1 also cause I just did it using skinman to load it up. Text not showing has happened to me in the past (on other skins) and its usually either a conflict with the default skin (usually this is the moto skin) or the mma ucp. The best way to fix text not showing is to use s4m, but make sure you read how to operate it properly and ensure you download the right one for the K1 (there are several flavours in the download section).I think there is also a K1 module somewhere for the s4m or the latest one may have it already in it.
