My brother has a RAZR V3. This morning his keypad went totally dead, except for the red button. We tried to pull the battery out and turn it on again... still dead. Is there something I can do? Like flash it or something to make it work again? I called T-Mobile to see if I still had the warranty but it has expired. Please help... its urgent! Thanks
PS: The phone is locked... will this be a problem?

Tried it but it does not work. On top of that, I don't even know if its doing it correctly since I can not put it on bootloader mode on my own but I have to let RSD do it. And once it got done... I got a new file created on the desktop that says: 05/21/07 14:51:21 Unable to read log file settings from registry, default setting will be used.
Can I flash an MP?
So I flashed an MP right, and the keypad still does not work.

Than it also can not be a software problem which can be fixed by programs but more likely a hardware problem with the keymat or flexcable.
It may have been dropped and a connection shaken loose... take it apart and be sure the keypad connection is solid.

Hate to resurrect an old thread, but this just started happenning on mine about 3 months after I flashed Apristel's Mark3 final monster pack. Yes, I too have tried the keypad fix flex, and does not do anything.
Any help appreciated?
PS: Phone is unlocked and was working correctly with the monsterpack installed.

Most likely cause might be the connector between mobo and keypad. It might have come loose.

I had aproblem like this after I installed apristel MP but this time the END key didn't work so I didn't turn it off I was afraid not to be able to turn it back on, and I started to search for a solution and found that keypad fix flex I flashed the phone with it and still not working finally I took out the battery and put it again and it started to work
I don't know exactly know if the fix flex made it work or I just had to take the battery
And for the record that was yesterday .It was my first flash and I was really afraid

Just installed the apristel MP and encounter the same situation. I did not run the keypad fix before trying to pull off the battery. To my surprise that was what fixed it. At first it when white and then returned to normal after less than a second.
