hi i need some help please , below are the specs of the v3 i am taking to australia next mt , and i want it to work over there ,and also over here in the usa . it is unlocked {thanks to 3.7 easytools **
but how do i upload the WEB SESSION DETAILS to the phone ? i downloaded the RAR file from this site . now i would like it to recive text msgs when i am in eigher country , i have cingular here (usa) and vodaphone in australia .
also i uploaded the D&G skin but it looks like a wallpaper , as the "soft keys" are not gold in colour (white in blue bar )

thanks will buy any one a beer or 2 if i can help me make this work it time lol thanks mates

Your text messages should work there no problem. As long as you use your original carrier there, everything (mms, internet) should work just fine. (thats assuming it does now).

You could alternatively, get the websession info and add it to the phone now. Then it would be a matter of selecting the voda ones as default when you get there.

To upload the websession file, you need to unrar it, and then stick it in the /a directory of the phone. It MUST be named " Websession "

Use a p2k app to upload the file, such as p2ktools.

ok ,so will the upload find the right place in the v3 directory to place the files or do i have to open the directory and select the right folder (WEB SESSIONS) to put the upload into ? can i delete all the euro entries ? (i will never use them i think ) and no text dont work now or does the web brower, as it only has the euro stuff in it .

You must navigate to the /a folder using a p2k app and manually upload it.

Since you are just uploading the voda settings, the others will be deleted. For the txting to work, you'll need to enter the SMS Service Center # for voda, I am not sure what it is. To do that you should push the message button, then hit menu, message setup, and then scroll down to the "Srvce Center No" and enter it in.

ok so i upload the RAR file for australia3 carries , then if i upload the USA RAR file as well it ,will delete the aust ones ?? so if thats the case i have manualy enter the us ones ? i want a phone to work in both countrys ,cos i work in the usa and live in australia . thanks

no you unrar it and upload it, then go on the us website and have them send the settings to your phone, then you will have both

Sounds like you may need to install a DRM? Was there a DRM flash linked to that skin?

It would say DRM on it. Its a flash that includes graphics in it. Sometimes a skin will have that with it. Hmm. Which prog did you use to upload the skin?

p2k commander , but it came with it in the rar file , when i extacted the file p2k c/mand was ready to install and i just 'ok' it and it did the rest .

i downloaded the rar file from a list of downloadable files like you have here on this site , it was just a skin rar .
if that helps sort my mess out ??

Hmm. I would use SkiMan (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=303) to delete the skin, and then reinstall it using this method (http://www.modmymoto.com/guides/installingskins.php). If it still doesn't work then we need a diff version of that skin, or the author didn't include it. Think that was djdownhill, though, he's pretty solid, so we prob just have an issue with the installation method. Those p2k commander scripts don't always work perfect.

thanks heaps and lots , that skiman stuff is spot on . now i need to find the spalsh screen for startup and shutdown and change/delete them and upload my own , they were easy to find on the cingluar v3 ,but i am lost with this euro mp . do you have any more greatest idears?

thanks i found 1 from the other place "motox" (i dont know if i can say that here) do you know if its a good one ?it talks about 'seem editing ' is that the right way to go ? .. i need about 3 pc's to do all this ,checking /reading / trying /retrying / finding / lol lol thank god for australian coffee !!!!!

i wouldnt saying ANYTHING about someone that dresses crosses ,i perferr road side orange cones cos they dont have 'arms' to get in the way lmao
