Want to change providers...not Cell Phone!

I have a V3 Razr Moto cell phone and using a provider from a other location from my home. When I am at home I am unable to use my cell because it is locked from that provider. Is there a way to change providers by modding this phone? If so, can someone please steer me in the right direction to do this?

Any help in this matter would be extremely appreciated.

And unlocking is explained there as well, just make sure about your Software version, press *#9999# and tell us what it says.
