I have a v3 and i do not now how to transfer files or do anything so far i have installed a driver im guessing and all i find bout it is that it is a motorola modem drive or something i have tryed downloading p2k xp but it did not work,can someone help me and guide my threw da programs i need and 2 setup my v3 to be stylish tones mods everything made appreciated thank you

Ok look, it's all in the guides. Read them.

But since you don't seem inclined to do that...

To transfer just pics/music/video, you can use Motorola Phone Tools. It's not free, so don't ask for a download, you'll have to find it yourself (try bittorrent).

If you run Linux, you've probably got an obex file transfer client installed somewhere, you can use that. Or maybe you can do it on windows, I don't know.

If you want to transfer system files/skins/seems things like that, install either the P2k drivers, or the self installing Motorola developer drivers (use the downloads section of this site to find these. It's not hard.) THEN and only then, use a program like P2kMan, P2kTools, etc. to view/upload/download/delete files.
