I want to create a backup of everything on my phone so that when I masterfully f*ck with it, I'll have something to fall back on just in case.
Has anyone been able to back up their verizon v3m razors using flashbackup 3?
Has anyone had any problems restoring their phones using the backup's created with FB3?

You should try the trial version and see if it works. The readme says nothing about the V3c or V3m or e815 and those all have nearly identical firmwares (Almost all the same seem edits work on all three of those phones) That doesn't mean it won't work for sure. If I open the program, then connect my phone, it freezes. If I connect the phone, then try to run the program, it shows up on my windows taskbar, but the program never loads. This may be an issue with my computer somehow though. I would be curious to see if it does this with your V3m.
I have found no way to make a backup of the V3c/V3m. There are instructions out there for it, but you can't flash the backup, so it's useless. If you can't get Flash&Backup to work, the best you can do is backup your contacts and calendar with MPT. Save your ringtones and wallpapers to your HD with p2kcommander and find a version of your firmware in case something goes bad. If you keep backups of seems, and make a backup of eveything on your phone with p2k commander, it will greatly reduce your chances of needing a flash backup.
We can figure out something that works, just let me know what you try and what works and doesn't, we'll go from there

Is there a way to change the outer display of the phone as well. I am settling for the standard verizon font, color, and presentation of my phone (for now until a better option than flashing to alltell comes about) I'd at least like to change the outer lcd. Is there a way to add a picture rather than have the tired verizon red background, time, and date?

There is a way to change the verizon logo that shows when the flip is open. read about it here:

You can change the "Verizon Wireless" text on the inside and outside LCD by following this guide:

^again no one has tried this on a V3m and posted about it, so please try it and let us know. Screwing this up won't brick your phone, and if you make a backup of the seem you can instantly fix it, if it doesn't work correctly
