unlocking features?

im new to the unlocking a razr & was wondering what all does it unlock?

does it unlock everything on the phone from pics,vids,music,ringtones,internet,voicemail & etc. that u would other wise not be able to edit/delete/ or use?

also what are the benafits of useing a differnt sim card in the phone?

& is there a downside to unlocking your phone?

It unbrands the phone. Then it can be used with any sim chip on any carrier, as Motorola meant it to be. The pictures, etc are not "locked."

I heard that Sprint RAZR's are CDMA, while Cingular's are GSM, and unlocking a Cingular one won't allow me to use it on Sprint.. any thoughts?

i figured that it probly unlocks just about everything on the phone but wasnt realy shure though.

also is it realy safe & worth paying the $25 geting it unlocked?

i got my razr v3 from cellularone & its a prepaid phone not a contract, if i do unlock my phone it wont mess anything up when i get minutes or anything will it?

& since my voicemail & internet doesnt work on predaid will it be enabled when i unlock my phone?

& whats the differnce in useing a sim from another company in my phone & where would i be able to buy 1?
